(Reuters) – A wire fox terrier gained “Greatest in Present” on the Westminster Kennel Membership Canine Present in New York on Tuesday, rising as the highest canine amongst almost 3,000 barking, tail-wagging opponents.
The animal, named King, captured probably the most coveted prize on the two-day occasion at Madison Sq. Backyard, besting challengers from all 50 U.S. states and 14 nations. The competitors drew 2,800 canines from 203 breeds and varieties.
He gained the terrier group and claimed the highest trophy over finalists from 5 different teams. The winner of the non-sporting canine group, a schipperke, was dominated ineligible earlier than the “Greatest in Present” competitors started.
