Keaton appeared in Saturday’s chilly open as WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who was arrested on Thursday for allegedly conspiring to hack a Pentagon pc. Within the sketch, Keaton’s Assange was considered one of a number of public figures to get thrown behind bars for current crimes, becoming a member of embattled When Calls the Coronary heart actress Lori Loughlin (performed by Kate McKinnon) and onetime Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti (performed by Pete Davidson).
“I’m the architect of anarchy, I’m the king of chaos. I’m the scourge of the cleansing workers on the Ecuadorian embassy,” Keaton’s Assange bragged, referencing the situation of Assange’s seven-year asylum interval.
Assange then pulled apart a fellow inmate, performed by Kyle Mooney, and threatened to leak all of his incriminating information, together with racy “ding-dong pics” and embarrassing concepts for a Shark Tank pitch. Evidently, after Assange’s monologue, he had satisfied everybody within the jail cell that he was the craziest felony amongst them.
In fact, McKinnon’s Loughlin made a convincing case of her personal. “You assume jail is tough?” she requested the lads in her cell. “I’ve executed 68 Hallmark motion pictures. I’ve seen hell, man.”
