WASHINGTON — Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday insisted that freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar instantly apologize for tweets saying that members of Congress are being paid by a strong curiosity group to assist Israel.

“Congresswoman Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive,” Pelosi mentioned in a press release issued by her workplace and signed by different Democratic leaders after a bipartisan backlash in opposition to the Minnesota Democrat. “We condemn these remarks and we name upon Congresswoman Omar to right away apologize for these hurtful feedback.”
