Retired astronaut Mark Kelly introduced Tuesday that he’s working to complete the late Sen. John McCain’s final time period representing Arizona, which ends in 2022.
Kelly is the husband of former Rep. Gabby Giffords, who survived being shot within the head in a 2011 mass taking pictures that left six useless in Tuscon, Arizona. Since that assault, Giffords and Kelly have been outstanding advocates for gun management.
The election to complete McCain’s final time period will probably be held in 2020. The seat is at the moment held by Republican Sen. Martha McSally.
